The last time I traveled to Grand Cayman as a Photographer for Caymana Productions, one of my assignments was to meet & take portrait pictures of guy being signed to Caymana Casting Agency. This guy was "supposed" to give me a good profile for my pictures, since everybody was talking about how nice his features were. I couldn't wait to meet him.....described as being a local
artist / painter from East End with blue eyes and a Rastafarian look, but to my surprise, soon I realized that behind those attractive blue eyes was a very talented and humble being.
Randy welcomed us with a big smile (a trade mark of his own) at his welcoming house in East End, where the quietness of the sea speaks smoothly to the devoted residences. His place smelled of oil and paint, and all across the house were his canvases. His work speaks for itself, an ode to life full of primary colors and abstract silhouettes. The shoot became more than merely a day at work...creating a bond that developed into a friendship, between the artist and photographer.
